Hopstrainer
Filter products
DescriptionTri-Clamp hopstrainers allows the filtration and flavorization of any liquids. The welded tri-clamp connection allows a quick assembly or disassembly of the whole system and make it easy to use. There are two types to use this hopstrainer:➜ The use as a normal hopstrainer enables wort and other liquids to be filtered. For this purpose, the liquid to be filtered is fed into the strainer and then filtered through the stainless steel mesh. Depending on the mesh of the filter, the result is a clear liquid and a dirty hopstrainer, which can then be cleaned under the waterfaucet.➜ Used as a hop-rocket, the strainer can additionally flavor the finished beer. For this, the filter candle of the strainer is filled with pelles or hop leaves and then the young beer is passed through. The hops remain in the filter mesh and the beer gains additional taste due to the cold hop. This application is possible by transfer from one keg tot he other keg or for direct tapping.➜ By default, this hopstrainer is delivered with a filter mesh with a #150mesh. If you would also like a different filter mesh, you can purchase this separately (item no.: 1039)Technical details Material Body: Stainless Steel AISI304, 1.4301 Material filter candle: Stainless Steel AISI304, 1.4301 Material filtermesh in filter candle: Stainless Steel AISI304, 1.4301 Gasket: silicon Flangeh: 50,5mm Diameter: 76,2mm Length: 311mm completely demountableUsage Brewery Pharmaceutical industry Mechanical engineering Food industryLiquids Wort und Beer Tea und kombucha Ice cream Advantages to the standard hopstrainerThe side connection allows the hopstrainer to be cleaned while filtering through the top closureLarger filter area due to the continuous filter candleFlow directionwithout pump: side connection is the inlet with pump: the bottom connection is the inlet (because of the internal filtermesh)

The pressure can tear the filter-mesh. For pumped use we recommend the strainer with side connection (item no .: 1035) and for industrial / commercial use our hop strainer with wedge wire (item no .: 1034).
